Spiritual birth trauma refers to the wounds inflicted not just on the body but on the soul and energy bodies during the birthing process. These wounds may arise from intense fear, feelings of abandonment, confusion, or overwhelming pain experienced by the newborn as they transition from the safe, familiar environment of the womb to the unfamiliar external world. This trauma isn’t always about medical complications; it’s deeply tied to the baby’s initial reception into life, as well as the mother’s emotional state and the energy present within the birth space.
